The Forrest winery was launched in 1988 by John and Brigid Forrest and was one of the first 10 wineries in the Marlborough region. With almost 30 years of winegrowing experience and a hands-on approach to growing, making and marketing wines, the Doctors’ are unique, owning vineyards in Marlborough, Otago and Gimblett Gravels Hawkes Bay – New Zealand’s premier terroir! Dr John Forrest brings to winemaking the discipline of a scientist and his own exuberant artistic flair, focusing on making premium wines that reflect the land they are grown upon. Over the last decade, under The Doctors’ brand, Forrest wines has been a pioneer in the development of full flavoured, varietally expressive lower alcohol wines.
