Brancott Estate – Flight Pinot Gris
MARLBOROUGH
ALC/VOL: 9%
Serve with simply prepared seafood dishes such as grilled scallops or clam linguine. Garden salads dressed with olive oil and lemon, Mediterranean flavours and antipasto will also match brilliantly. This wine is made to be enjoyed upon release, or with up to two years careful storage.
Taste Profile:
The wine opens with a bounty of fruit notes; Nashi pear, melon and guava, which carry through to the palate balanced with crisp citrus acidity. The wine is light and elegant in body, with a fresh, vivacious finish.
Winemaking:
The fruit for this wine was harvested from selected blocks pruned to encourage early flavour ripeness, at lower sugar levels. The fruit was gently bag pressed and the clear juice fermented in temperature controlled stainless steel tanks. No oak was used in the winemaking, as pure fruit expression was the goal, and the wine was blended to maintain varietal characters. The wine was filtered into bottle.
Overall, the growing season was excellent, providing beautiful and pristine fruit which has resulted in delicious aromas and flavours captured within the wines.
